JR. FIREFIGHTERS WELCOME!!
If you are between the ages of 15 and 17 years of age, you can be a part of the Garyville Fire Departments Junior Firefighter program.
Many Junior Firefighters go on to become officers in the fire department. Even our present Fire Chief started as a Junior. Some have become Career Firefighters and EMT's in St. John Parish and surrounding communities. The sky is the limit and there are no boundaries to what you can achieve. Only you can take charge of your destiny. Only you can decide what path in life you will choose. If you're not already a member, come out and see what you can become. Saving lives and helping others is a very rewarding experience. You will receive the same training as volunteers and career firefighters.
Participants need written parental permission to join and must meet the scholastic requirements of a 2.0 gpa.
Training is every 1st, 2nd, & 4th Monday of each month.
